At the Avalon Ballroom: The Jefferson Airplane and the Great Society. At that time, Grace Slick was in the Great Society, and not in the Jefferson Airplane. The Wikipedia article on the Jefferson Airplane is really interesting. Art by Mouse Studios, July 22-23 1966. 20.75 x 15.25 inches.
A printing by the San Francisco Poster Company in the early 1970s. Printed in England from the original plates.
Regarded by some as "pirate" prints, San Francisco Poster Company posters are collectible, but do not command the high prices of first printings. SFPC posters always bear the legend "San Francisco Poster Company" in the margins, and in many cases use different colors than the first printings. There was never any intention to pass these off as first printings.
I have 23 posters from this series, many in very low quantity (less than 10). All are in "unused" condition but a few may have soft corners, slight foxing, or slight discoloration on an edge. Most are in near mint condition and have none of these issues. I will always ship the best poster available. You can email me if you want to know the precise condition of the poster.
These posters are the only posters in my collection that may not be considered "originals."
